Sarah Palmer
Sarah serves as NLI USA’s Partnerships and Community Engagement Manager. Her work in the Jewish non-profit sector began over ten years ago in Avodah: The Jewish Service Corps where she directed programming for Friedman Place, a residential facility for adults with visual impairment. Sarah’s love for Jewish communities and education led her to teach at the Yemin Orde Youth Village in Israel, the Jewish community of Istanbul, and Jewgathon Summer Camp in Bulgaria. Sarah facilitates a social media based network for Jewish educators all over the world. She has taught at Jewish day schools in Chicago for six years and served as a Moishe House Without Walls host. As part of her work in the classroom, Sarah partnered with The Pardes Center for Judaism and Conflict Resolution, Pedagogy of Partnership at Yeshivat Hadar, Teacher Institute for the Arts at Kol HaOt, Facing History and Ourselves, and Svara: A Traditionally Radical Yeshiva. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from Brandeis University and a certificate in Experiential Jewish Education from the Pardes Center for Jewish Educators in Jerusalem.
