ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
The National Library of Israel (NLI), in conjunction with NLI USA, is currently documenting post-Oct. 7 experiences at college and university campuses across the United States and Canada. NLI is collecting materials from all campus communities—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and more—and from individuals and organizations of different perspectives. These materials not only document specific events and incidents, including encounters with antisemitism, but also capture the broader experience of Jewish students, faculty, and staff during this pivotal time.
Materials collected through this initiative will become part of the Library’s central Oct. 7 archive. This archive—which is being built in real time, and at an unprecedented scale—aims to be a comprehensive, reliable, and accessible database of information about this transformational time that will be an essential resource for researchers, scholars, and communities and in the years to come. Materials for this archive are being collected both in Israel and among Jewish communities throughout the world, in collaboration with dozens of international partner organizations.
This is a unique opportunity to have your story be part of the historical record. We hope you’ll take part.
Please note that the online submission form will take a few moments to complete. We ask that only individuals 18 and older complete this form. If you have a large amount of materials to contribute, please contact us directly.
