Mark Donig
Mark Donig is a senior associate at Covington & Burling in New York, where his practice fuses startup law, venture capital, social impact, and economic diplomacy. Mark is a member of the Israel Initiative at Covington, and has worked with colleagues in Covington’s Washington DC and Dubai offices to build and deepen private sector commercial collaborations among companies in the United States, Israel and the Abraham Accords countries. Mark has an active humanitarian pro bono practice, helping lead or assist operations to obtain the safe passage of American hostages and foreign pro democracy dissidents from Middle Eastern and African autocracies. For this work, Mark is a two-time recipient (2017 and 2019) of the Certificate of Special Recognition from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Mark is the co-founder and serves as a member of the outside counsel team for the African Middle Eastern Leadership Project (AMEL), founding regional president for Northern California for United Hatzalah, and is on the advisory board of the UC Berkeley Helen Diller Berkeley Institute of Jewish Law and Israel Studies.
