Art Sandler
Art Sandler has a degree in Comparative Cultures and a Masters in Middle East History. He co-leads his family-held business, L.M. Sandler & Sons, Inc., and oversees its broad real estate and financial service holdings. Art has served on Brandeis University’s board of trustees, as well as on the boards of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (the Joint), the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the United Jewish Appeal (UJA executive committee), and the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater (UJFT) — where he helped launch the UJFT Holocaust Commission. Art is a founder and board member of PRO ISRAEL AMERICA as well as Project Healthy Minds and served as the vice chair of the Virginia Governor’s Commission to Combat Antisemitism. He also serves on the board of the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts Foundation. Art and his wife Annie live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They have four adult children, Leyla, Dylan, Jessica and Max and four grandchildren.
